School Library Apps That You Will Love

Are you searching for school library products that you can use in your district? Check out the definitive list that we made. Who did we miss?

KSAS – This is an integrated learner management system for tracking attendance, payments, course scheduling, learners, documents, and more. The e-library feature enables you to upload softcopy books for your learners to download books. The program can also print learner and staff IDs. Full integration enables schools to integrate their websites with KSAS.

Bookshare– This digital library offers reading options for people of different educational levels, ages, and, most importantly, the visually impaired. Kids with some visual impairment, physical disability, or severe learning disability can benefit from using this product. Books are accessible in different formats, even for non-impaired individuals who enjoy reading books in other formats.

Epic!– This is an eBook library for kids under 12 in North America with over 15,000 top-shelf books; there is a edition available for educators and one for guardians (home). Epic! for the home is the edition for kid’s; this product accommodates four kids profiles that function independently of one another. Available for only $4.99 per month. Epic for educators is the edition for educators and librarians; it is free in the US and Canada.

Raz-Plus– This is a product dedicated to improving every learner’s reading abilities, independent of what level they are. This product is based on educator-driven instructions that blend appropriate reading practices, formative assessments, and a data-driven report system as an effective technique for learners reading skill development. The product has over 50,000 reading materials, lesson plans, exercises, and quizzes that help educators provide a customized reading library for every learner on the product. Also, every resource on the product can be printed, projected, read online, or kept on a mobile device.

Reading Rainbow– Reading Rainbow is a way to provide your kid with an extensive collection of books—up to 10 million books and video field trips for kids. This product has an extensive library of books that would engage children for a long time and awaken their imagination. The recommended age for kids to use this product is three through nine years old; the book collections include fiction and nonfiction, as well as videos of field trips hosted by LeVar Burton.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
