ELearning Elements

Not every course offered online can be called ‘e-learning.’ E-learning is meant to help students learn more quickly and efficently. The teacher’s role is essential to eLearning because it is up to them to inspire, encourage, and ensure their learners are not feeling as though they are taking their educational journey alone.

By doing so, it ensures that learners can be monitored appropriately and receive appropriate feedback, essential throughout the learning process. If educators wish to make this kind of relationship, they need to use all of their online resources.

Reaction

Participants of an e-learning community must be reminded to promptly respond to comments, posts, questions, and discussions. Learners should be taught to rely on one another, particularly in group projects, where collaboration is essential.

When learners cannot respond to a comment on time, they should share their reasons for being tardy without discomfort. This element of humanity nurtures understanding between learners and educators as well.

As an educator, you should also be responding to posts promptly, as timely interaction is one of the main activities of an online class.

Sincerity

Trust and a sense of safety are prerequisites for sharing opinions and emotions in an eLearning ecosystem. When learners post their comments and messages, they trust that the space is open to many perspectives and no wrong comments.

Participants who post their messages should feel sincere and honest feedback from their educators and peers. If there is to be honesty, honest opinions must be shared. This includes constructive criticism that might be hard to hear.

But, when it is presented respectfully, it can earn faith and trust in the learning ecosystem. This is a crucial element in developing consistent eLearning spaces.

Significance

Educators should frequently advise their learners to share their experiences with the learning content. Building upon lived experiences and defining how knowledge can be useful for future situations is one of the many significant benefits of e-learning collaboration.

Conclusion

These are some of the many essential elements that you, as an educator, can include in your eLearning ecosystem. We hope that you implement the elements above and that they breathe new life into your online classroom.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
