Introduction

Colorado Springs, nestled at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains, offers a variety of childcare options to support its growing and diverse community. This article spotlights the exceptional preschool, daycare, or afterschool program that has distinguished itself as the best in the region, providing top-tier care and education for the area’s youngest residents.

Main Content

Rising above the competition in Colorado Springs is The Goddard School, a institution that has garnered widespread recognition for its innovative approach to early childhood education and its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The Goddard School sets itself apart with its play-based learning philosophy, which is grounded in research showing that children learn best when they’re having fun. Their F.L.EX.® Learning Program (Fun Learning Experience) is designed to help children develop a strong foundation in academic, social, and emotional skills.

The school’s facilities are thoughtfully designed to create an environment that stimulates curiosity and encourages exploration. Classrooms are equipped with learning centers focused on different subjects and skills, while the outdoor play areas provide ample space for physical activities and nature studies, taking full advantage of Colorado’s beautiful environment.

What truly distinguishes The Goddard School is its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) focus, which is integrated into daily activities even for the youngest learners. This approach helps children develop critical thinking skills and a love for discovery from an early age.

The school’s faculty consists of degreed teachers who receive ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Low teacher-to-student ratios ensure that each child receives personalized attention and support.

The Goddard School offers flexible programs to meet diverse family needs, including full-day preschool, part-time daycare, and engaging afterschool activities for school-age children. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided, with options to accommodate various dietary requirements.

Parents particularly appreciate the school’s emphasis on health and safety, which includes stringent cleanliness protocols and secure check-in/check-out procedures. The school also maintains open lines of communication with families through daily reports, regular newsletters, and parent-teacher conferences.

Conclusion

In the Colorado Springs, CO Metro Area, The Goddard School emerges as the premier choice for families seeking exceptional early childhood education and care. Its innovative curriculum, focus on STEAM education, and dedicated staff create an ideal environment for young children to learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning, all while enjoying the unique outdoor opportunities that Colorado Springs has to offer.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
