Forget the usual beach day routine: building sandcastles, splashing in the waves, and battling the scorching sun. This summer, why not try something different? Backwards Beach Days are the new trend taking over vacation plans, offering a fresh and fun twist on the classic beach experience.

What are Backwards Beach Days?

It’s exactly what it sounds like – a beach day in reverse. Instead of starting early and heading home as the sun sets, you begin your day as the sun dips below the horizon. This means enjoying the cooler evening air, soaking in the stunning sunset, and experiencing a whole new side of the beach.

Here’s why Backwards Beach Days are a game changer:

Beat the heat: No more battling the sweltering midday sun. Enjoy the cool evening breeze and escape the crowded, overheated beach.

Witness a breathtaking sunset: The golden hour is a photographer‘s dream, and Backwards Beach Days allow you to savor its magic.

Embrace tranquility: With fewer crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere, you can truly unwind and enjoy the sounds of the ocean.

Experience unique activities: Consider nighttime beach volleyball, stargazing, or even bonfires under the moonlight.

How to plan your Backwards Beach Day:

1. Choose the right location: Opt for a beach with amenities like restrooms, showers, and restaurants open late.

2. Pack essentials: Bring your swimsuit, towel, snacks, and drinks. Don’t forget flashlights, lanterns, and sunscreen!

3. Plan your activities: Consider activities like beach yoga, sandcastle competitions, or simply relaxing and enjoying the view.

4. Be mindful of local regulations: Check for restrictions on fires, noise levels, and closing times.

5. Embrace spontaneity: Leave room for unexpected fun and adventures.

Backwards Beach Days offer a unique and memorable experience, allowing you to break free from the ordinary and embrace the magic of a different perspective. So, ditch the usual beach day routine and step into a world of calm, beauty, and unexpected adventure. This summer, turn your beach vacation upside down and discover the joy of ‘Backwards Beach Days’.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
