The tech world is buzzing with excitement as Samsung unveils its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, released on April 12, 2026. CNET’s hands-on review has positioned this smartphone as the best Android foldable yet, boasting impressive specifications and innovative features that cater to power users and tech enthusiasts alike.

Stunning Display and Performance

One of the standout features of the Galaxy S27 Ultra is its breathtaking 7.8-inch AMOLED inner display, which achieves an astonishing brightness of 2,500 nits. This makes it not only a joy to use in various lighting conditions but also a top contender for media consumption and gaming. The vivid colors and sharp contrast provide an immersive experience, whether you are streaming videos or playing the latest mobile games.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which has achieved a remarkable score of 3 million on AnTuTu. This level of performance ensures that users can multitask seamlessly and run demanding applications without a hitch. From productivity tasks to high-definition gaming, the device handles it with ease, making it a strong contender for those looking for a powerful Android experience.

Collaboration with Google: Enhanced AI Features

Samsung has taken a significant step forward in enhancing user experience by collaborating with Google to integrate advanced AI features into the Galaxy S27 Ultra. This partnership has led to the inclusion of real-time translation capabilities that support up to 50 languages. This feature is particularly beneficial for travelers and business professionals who need to communicate effectively across language barriers.

Moreover, the device’s AI capabilities extend beyond translation, enhancing everyday tasks and providing users with a more intuitive experience. With Samsung’s commitment to innovation, the S27 Ultra looks set to redefine how we interact with our smartphones in a globalized world.

Durability and Design

Another impressive aspect of the Galaxy S27 Ultra is its durable hinge, which has been rigorously tested for up to 500,000 folds. This durability makes it a reliable choice for users who frequently use the foldable feature. The design remains sleek and modern, making it not just a powerful device but also a stylish accessory.

Charging Speed and Battery Life

In today’s fast-paced world, charging speed is a crucial factor for smartphone users. The Galaxy S27 Ultra excels in this area, boasting an impressive 80% faster charging capability, allowing it to reach a full charge in just 25 minutes. This means less time tethered to a charger and more time using the device.

Furthermore, the battery life is commendable, providing ample usage time for a full day of activities, whether you’re browsing, gaming, or streaming media. This efficiency is particularly appealing for power users who rely on their devices throughout the day.

Camera Capabilities: A Mixed Bag

While the Galaxy S27 Ultra boasts impressive specifications, its camera performance has received mixed reviews. Compared to the Pixel 10, which is often praised for its camera consistency, the S27 Ultra seems to fall short in some areas. Photography enthusiasts may find that while the camera can produce stunning images in ideal conditions, it struggles with consistency, particularly in varying lighting situations.

This inconsistency has been a point of contention in reviews, with some users expressing disappointment when comparing it to its competitors. However, the overall camera quality is still respectable, making it suitable for casual photography and social media sharing.

Pricing and Conclusion

The Galaxy S27 Ultra comes with a price tag of $1,299, positioning it as a premium device in the foldable smartphone market. For this price, users receive cutting-edge technology, superior performance, and a host of innovative features that enhance the overall user experience.

CNET’s review awarded the Galaxy S27 Ultra an impressive score of 9/10, recognizing it as a top choice for power users who prioritize performance and display quality. While it may not excel in every category, its strengths in processing power, display, and innovative features make it a formidable addition to Samsung’s lineup.

In summary, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra stands out as a game-changer in the foldable smartphone arena. It combines advanced technology, robust performance, and user-centric features, making it a compelling choice for anyone in the market for a new device.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
