Collaboration provides the NSBA with an innovative tool to gather and analyze data for its state benchmarking studies

(HERNDON, VA) February 17, 2016 – K12 Insight today announced a partnership with the National School Boards Association (NSBA). As part of the agreement, NSBA will use K12 Insight’s Engage survey solution to listen to and understand the needs of its more than 90,000 school board members across the country.

Specifically, NSBA will use K12 Insight’s fully managed survey solution to gather and analyze data for its state benchmark studies. K12 Insight will conduct seven surveys and provide data analysis delivered to the NSBA in four customized reports.

K12 Insight, in turn, will be a Platinum-Level sponsor of NSBA’s Annual Conference, to be held April 9–11 in Boston.

In addition to its featured position at the conference, K12 Insight will engage in several thought leadership collaborations with NSBA throughout the year, including columns and interviews in American School Board Journal and a whitepaper that will be featured on the NSBA’s website The Hub. In all of these publications, K12 Insight will share examples of best practices in successful districts, highlight the resources it offers, and showcase its research on the benefits of community engagement. K12 Insight will also host a series of webinars in conjunction with the articles it contributes.

“NSBA is pleased to partner with K12 Insight, an organization committed to improving education,” said Thomas J. Gentzel, the executive director of the National School Boards Association. “The Engage survey solution provides an innovative approach to gathering and analyzing data that can benefit our advocacy efforts for positive education outcomes for all students.”

“K12 Insight is thrilled to partner with the National School Boards Association. NSBA is a tremendous advocate for public schools and our nation’s public school children,” said K12 Insight’s Founder and CEO Suhail Farooqui. “We are pleased to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 2016 Annual Conference. And we’re excited to have NSBA use our Engage survey solution to better understand and meet the needs of its members and constituents.”

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
