Frostburg State University is a public university situated on a 260-acre campus in Western Maryland’s Appalachian highlands. It has a 15 to 1 student/faculty ratio, and the majority of classes have fewer than 30 students. Students also have plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community via the university clubs, organizations, and Greek Letter System. The Frostburg State Bobcats play in the NCAA Division III Capital Athletic Conference. The football team plays in the Empire 8 Conference.

Overview of Frostburg State University Admissions

FSU has an acceptance rate of 78%–around four out of every ten applicants were not admitted in 2019. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. Applicants should complete an online application, and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Students with unique talents and accomplishments can still receive strong consideration even if their GPAs are outside the admission offices’ mean range. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
