California State University, San Bernardino, is a public institution with an acceptance rate of 55%. The institution offers over 70 bachelor’s degree programs with business administration being the most popular among undergraduates. A robust student/faculty ratio backs students, and professors take a personalized approach to the teaching and learning process. Outside of the classroom, students will find plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community via the university’s many clubs and organizations.

Overview of California State University, San Bernardino Admissions

Cal State San Bernardino accepts just over half of applicants and has a selective admissions process. The admission process is not holistic. Applicants must complete an online application, and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Applicants don’t need to send essays or recommendation letters. Instead, admissions are decided by test scores and GPA. This institution wants to see outstanding grades in the most rigorous classes possible; Advanced Placement, IB, Honors, and dual enrollment classes— the more challenging your high school courses were, the better. Throughout the 2018-19 admissions phase, CSUSB had an acceptance rate of 55%.  for every 100 students who submitted applications, 55 students gained admission, making Cal State University San Bernardino’s admissions process competitive.

SAT Requirements and Scores

Cal State University San Bernardino requires that applicants submit either SAT or ACT scores. Throughout the 2018-19 admissions phase, 97% of admitted students provided SAT scores.

This admissions data tells us that Cal State San Bernardino’s admitted students scored in the bottom 29% on the SAT. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
