Barton College is a private, four-year college situated in Wilson, North Carolina. With around 1,100 students, a student/faculty ratio of 11 to 1, and a mean class size of 16, Barton students get plenty of personalized attention. Barton College offers a wide range of academic degree options and is especially proud of its degree options in nursing, education, deaf education, and social work. It has lots of student organizations, as well as 16 intercollegiate athletic teams. Barton has an active Greek Life for its students, and it offers several trips abroad for those interested in world travel.

Overview of Barton College Admissions

This institution seems to have selective admissions–only 41% of students who apply are admitted, but students with good grades and good test scores are likely to be accepted. Applicants must complete an online application, send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Half of the students submit SAT scores while half submit ACT scores. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
