4 Ways to Fry Perfectly Round Eggs Every Time

For many people, fried eggs are an essential part of breakfast. However, achieving that perfectly round shape can sometimes be a challenge. Fortunately, we have compiled a list of four ways to master the art of frying round eggs every time. By trying these methods, you’ll be able to impress your family and friends with your frying prowess.

1. Use a Round Mould

You can use round moulds or silicone egg rings available in stores or online to create perfectly round fried eggs. These handy tools are specifically designed to hold the egg within a confined circular boundary while it cooks on the frying pan. Place the mould or ring onto the pan, crack the egg into it, and watch as your egg takes on the desired shape.

2. Try the Onion Ring Method

If you don’t have a round mould handy, you can make do with an onion ring instead! Slice an onion so that you have a round piece about half an inch thick. Put the onion ring onto the heated frying pan (with some oil or butter) and crack an egg into it. The egg will cook within the onion ring’s boundaries, giving you that satisfying circle when finished.

3. Oil and Water Technique

With this method, you first heat up oil or butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Proceed to crack an egg into a small dish before gently sliding it onto the pan. Then add around half a tablespoon of water into the pan (away from the egg), lower heat, and cover with a lid immediately. The steam created from combining oil and water will encase the egg while it cooks, giving it a perfect round shape.

4. Cook Eggs Sunny-side Up

Fry your eggs sunny-side up with low heat while using a non-stick pan for easy flipping. This method helps to keep your eggs together, reducing spreading and potential breakage. Carefully slide a spatula underneath the egg while it’s still cooking, and flip it to complete the frying process, taking care to maintain its round shape.

Now that you’ve learned these four simple methods for frying your eggs into perfect circles every time, you can enjoy an elevated breakfast experience. So go ahead and experiment with these techniques to find the one that works best for you and your culinary creations. Happy frying!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
