Are you an educator with green fingers and a passion for teaching students about the environment, sustainability, and the joy of growing their own food? If so, this is your chance to win everything you need to start a classroom garden!

A classroom garden is an incredible hands-on learning experience that not only teaches children valuable life skills but also fosters an appreciation for nature. Students can learn about various plants, their growth cycles, and how to care for them. In addition, gardening as a group can promote teamwork and collaboration among young minds.

To help create this nurturing environment, we’ve partnered with leading gardening and educational stores to offer lucky educators the chance to win the ultimate classroom garden kit. Here’s what’s included:

1. Seeds galore: Your garden will be brimming with life thanks to our generous seed collection. From vegetables and herbs to flowers that attract pollinators, there’s something for everyone.

2. Gardening tools: With kid-friendly gloves, shovels, rakes, and watering cans, each student can contribute with proper equipment.

3. Planting containers: For classrooms without outdoor access or limited space, we’re providing a variety of planting containers to make your garden possible anywhere.

4. Composting system: Learn the importance of recycling organic waste by incorporating an efficient composting system into your classroom garden.

5. Interactive lesson plans: To complement your gardening activities, you’ll receive engaging lesson plans covering topics like plant biology and sustainable agriculture.

6. Expert guidance: To make your gardening journey smooth sailing, expert horticulturists will be available for ongoing support and advice.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
