Texas has a lot of great water parks because the Texas climate allows water parks to be built and maintained year-round, something that’s not possible in states like California or Florida (where climatic conditions can make it challenging to maintain a swimming pool). The result? There are many hotels in and around Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio with indoor pools where you can stay for your next trip and splash around all day!

  1. JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is a luxurious hotel located just outside downtown San Antonio. The resort has a variety of amenities, including an 18-hole golf course and tennis court, an indoor pool area with a water park for children ages 5–12, and several restaurants and bars within walking distance from your room.

  1. The Resort at Schlitterbahn

The Resort at Schlitterbahn is located in New Braunfels, Texas, and offers a wide range of hotel types, including suites and villas. The resort features two pools: an outdoor bar, grill area, and cabana rentals; the other with water slides that can be rented separately or together as an adventure package. There’s also a relaxing on-site hot tub for guests, tired after a day at the park (or just before). The resort has an onsite restaurant called Sushi Shop & Grill, where you can enjoy sushi rolls prepared by Chef Toshi Kato or his team—and if you prefer something else than raw fish for dinner, there’s always room service available 24 hours per day! This hotel also offers concierge services so that any questions about transportation into town will be answered quickly by friendly staff members who speak English fluently plus another language if necessary (French being popular here).

  1. Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine

Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine is in Grapevine, Texas. The hotel is family-friendly and has indoor water park activities such as a heated pool, spa center with saunas and steam rooms, arcade games, bowling lanes, and more. Rooms have a view of the water park, so you can watch your kids play while relaxing by yourself!

The hotel also has an outdoor pool, sand volleyball court, and playground. The rooms are spacious and have a kitchenette so you can cook your meals if you want to save money.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
