Overview of Wingate University

Wingate University’s 400-acre campus is situated Wingate, North Carolina, about 30 miles from Charlotte. The institution has a large selection of 34 undergraduate degree programs for students to select from. A robust student/faculty ratio backs students, and professors take a personalized approach to the teaching and learning process. Outside of the classroom, students will find plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community via the university’s over 42 clubs and organizations. Wingate fields 19 NCAA teams in athletics, and the Wingate Bulldogs play in the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference. Popular sports include football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and Track and Field.

Overview of Wingate University Admissions

Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. Applicants must complete an online application and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Students with unique talents and accomplishments can still receive strong consideration even if their GPAs are outside of the admissions offices mean range. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
