Traveling with toddlers can be a delightful adventure, but also a logistical challenge. Keeping them entertained, engaged, and safe in unfamiliar environments can feel like a tightrope walk. But fear not, fellow parents! We’ve found the secret weapon for keeping little ones happy on the road: LEGO® sets.

Why LEGO® Sets are the Ultimate Travel Companion:

Endless Entertainment: From classic bricks to themed sets, LEGO® provides hours of creative play, keeping your toddler engaged and entertained, whether it’s on a plane, in a hotel room, or on a road trip.

Portable and Compact: LEGO® bricks are surprisingly compact, making them easy to pack in suitcases or carry-on bags. The sets are generally self-contained, so there’s no need to worry about losing pieces.

Stimulating Development: LEGO® play encourages imagination, problem-solving, fine motor skills, and spatial reasoning – all essential for a growing mind. They also provide a fun and engaging way to learn about different themes, colors, and shapes.

Stress-free Travel: LEGO® sets can provide a sense of comfort and familiarity in new environments, helping your toddler adjust more easily. They can also be a great distraction during long car rides or flights.

Quality Time Together: Playing with LEGO® sets can be a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child, fostering creativity and conversation.

Tips for Traveling with LEGO® Sets:

Choose age-appropriate sets: LEGO® offers sets designed for different age groups, ensuring your toddler can enjoy them without frustration.

Pack a small container: A small plastic tub or zip-lock bag can keep the bricks organized and prevent them from scattering.

Consider Duplo bricks: Duplo bricks are larger and easier for toddlers to handle, making them ideal for younger travelers.

Bring a small mat or blanket: This will create a designated play area, keeping the bricks contained and preventing them from getting lost.

LEGO® sets are not just toys; they’re portable playthings that can transform any travel experience into a fun-filled adventure. They’re a fantastic investment for parents seeking to keep their toddlers entertained and engaged while on the go. So, pack your bags, grab your LEGO® set, and get ready for some unforgettable family travel memories!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
