Multiplication Apps, Tools, and Resources That We Love

Are you looking for multiplication apps, tools, and resources that you can use with your students? If so, we have you covered. Check out our list below. Let us know if there are any that we missed.

Aritmetica– Solve math problems using limited numbers and operators. With over 100 randomly selected operations available over 20 levels, you solve problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Every game is different. You can use clues to progress when you get stuck or totally skip an operation. The app does not contain any in-app purchases.

Basic Math Games for Kids: Addition Subtraction– Basic Math Games has problems and content for anyone aged four to one hundred. From learning to count to practicing multiplication and beyond, players may not realize how much they are learning as they play because it is so fun.

DigitWhiz– This app helps kids from ages eight upward learn basic math and pre-algebra skills. It uses games to teach kids multiplication, division, and integer operation. Kids earn points as they play the game. It also has a multiplayer option where kids can play with other kids from all over the world.

Fact Families Math Flash Cards– Proper understanding of mathematics requires offhand knowledge of certain math facts. For example, by learning the sequence of 3 + 4 = 7, 7 – 4 = 3, 7 – 3 = 4, 4 + 3 = 7, your child already knows four math facts. There are fact families for addition/subtraction and multiplication/division that students can learn in an incentivized environment. After gaining mastery of a level, students advance to a random mode, followed by a “crazy” mode in order of difficulty.

Fractions by Brainingcamp– Fractions by Brainingcamp is suitable for kids between the age of 9 and 14. It provides all the materials needed for teaching and learning by using practice questions, challenging games, lesson narration, and manipulation of virtual elements. It covers all aspects of fractions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, equivalents, and common denominators.

Futaba Classroom Games for Kids– This app allows one to four students to conveniently learn with a single iPad by taking a seat around the iPad and tapping it to start. Futaba was created to provide kids with an engaging review by supplementing curriculum standards for addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, Dolch sight words for first through third grade.

Giraffe Cards Flashcards– This math flashcard app helps your children learn multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. This app was created to provide flexibility for kids to learn math without any form of distractions. The flashcards are straightforward, and they include great practice exercises; the app can easily be customized from simple to complex math facts such as Algebra “Magic Number” cards. The app comes with no ads or other distractions.

Gracie & Friends Lemonade Stand -The Lemonade Stand game provides a means for children to divide a group of objects or a continuous whole into equal groups/parts. It helps improve children’s knowledge of ratios, division, multiplication, number composition, number sense, and fractions.

Math Bingo– Math Bingo contains bingo games designed to teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The app is available in easy, medium, and hard modes and can be played with up to five accounts. When players correctly answer five questions, they get “bingo.” Players get their names on the scoreboard, and they can choose one of eight awesome avatars to represent them.

Math Champions lite for Kids– Math Champions is a math game using eight modes designed to teach children addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, comparing, contrasting, symmetry, and much more. Students can keep track of their scores and compete with friends on an iPad or iPhone. The basic app is free; an upgraded version is available for purchase.

Math Evolve– Math Evolve is specially designed for children age six and up to experience both story and practice modes to learn math basics. This app features addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and more. Math Evolve incorporates math facts and mental math challenges in a game that is entertaining

Math Minute Madness– If you need help with addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, Math Minute Madness could be the app for you. This app has timed math questions, and it gives tangible rewards that you can redeem with virtual zoo areas and animal friends. Besides practicing math, you will also learn about animals and their sounds.

Math Racing– With this app, you can compete with friends and opponents at any skill level to see who can win the math race. There are three difficulty levels (easy, medium, and hard) for practicing your skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and equations that combine math operations. With Math Racing, the element of competition adds spice to the learning process; the app contains substantial math content that is conducive to learning.

Math Slide: Multiply & Subtract– This edition of Math Slide is specifically aimed at the most difficult math operations: multiplication and division. Whoever slides the correct tile over first wins; this is a multiplayer game designed to create the most fun and engaging learning. There are nine levels so that you can home in on the perfect combination of know-how and challenge to maximize your learning.

If you can master your aim, accuracy, and math, there will be no problem in saving the space station. MathBlaster adds a level of inspiration to math practice in the form of protecting something.

Mathemagics – Mental Math Tricks– Mental math is a very important skill for children to develop at a young age to help them prepare for future math classes. Using the tips and tricks in this app, children will learn to complete problems in math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and higher-level math. With these skills under their belt, children will be ready for any math they encounter in the future. These exercises can also be done anytime and anywhere with this convenient app.

Monster Math– Monster Math is a good way for students to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and basic math problems. It is used by schools to eliminate the boredom of doing math with quizzes and flashcards. This app includes massive worlds, fun monsters, evil enemies, and amazing allies to make your students’ experience even better.

MultiFlow: Times Tables Reimagined–MultiFlow is the new way to learn times tables and basic multiplication. MultiFlow uses a completely revamped interface and allows you to share progress reports directly to Twitter and Facebook. This app can be used in the classroom for teachers to show their students, or students can use it on their own outside of school for extra challenges and practice.

Newton Multiplication– Newton Multiplication is a simple app that helps you develop your multiplication abilities. It intuitively recognizes the questions you get wrong and helps you develop in your areas of deficiency. As you progress through the game, features are unlocked to help you develop and improve over time. Three game modes are available: Zen mode, speed mode, and time trial mode. It has additional features that include external Bluetooth keyboard support, full GameCenter support, and integration, you can sync your scores and progress across all your iOS devices; the app is compatible with iPhone 5 and above and or iPad devices using

Operation Math– Operation Math turns mathematics into a more immersive experience using a mystery plot. It has numerous time trials that teach kids addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. From the streets of Paris to the pyramids of Egypt, this app has over 105 interesting missions designed to teach math operations and skill acquisition. It can be played at home for fun or used in class to complement learning.

Sushi Monster – For students that need extra practice with math fact fluency, Sushi Monster provides addition and multiplication practice in an engaging and challenging game format. Included in the app are 12 carefully sequenced levels (seven addition levels and five multiplication levels) with four rounds in each level. In each round, students are asked to meet a target number. By strategically placing sushi pieces around a monster to create true equations that equal the target number, students win the round and earn points, stars, or trophies. These rewards, along with a personal best score, allow players to unlock new challenges and levels. Sushi Monster is designed to meet the Common Core State Standard to support strategic reasoning and computational flexibility in addition and multiplication.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
