It’s not uncommon for individuals to forget their Facebook passwords, especially if they haven’t used the platform in a while. Unfortunately, this unable-registration can be further complicated if you’ve lost access to your email address or phone number. But don’t fret; there are still several ways to recover your Facebook account, even without these pieces of information. In this article, we’ll delve into various methods to help you reset your password and regain access to your account.

1. Use Trusted Contacts:

If you’ve previously set up trusted contacts for your Facebook account, this option will come in handy while recovering your password. These are the necessary steps:

a. Visit the Facebook login page and click on “Forgot Account?”

b. Enter your registered name or username and click on “Next.”

c. Once your account appears, click on “No longer have access to these?” and proceed.

d. Insert a new email address or phone number to use as a means of contact.

e. Select “Reveal My Trusted Contacts.”

f. Follow the instructions provided to contact your trusted friends, request the code from them, and enter it on the recovery page.

2. Appeal Facebook’s Decision:

If you never set up any trusted contacts and need to recover your password, you can appeal the decision through Facebook’s account recovery page:

a. Navigate to Facebook’s Help Center.

b. On the left side menu, click “Policies for Account Security.”

c. Under “Appealing a Decision,” click on “Fill out this form.”

d. Enter your registered name or username and fill out the required information.

e. Upload identification documents such as a driver’s license or passport.

f. Submit the form and wait for Facebook’s response regarding your account recovery.

3. Report a Login Issue:

In case you’re unable to recover your account using either of the above methods, report the login issue to Facebook.

a. Go to Facebook’s “Report a Problem” page.

b. Click on “Login and Password.”

c. Fill out the necessary information and provide a detailed description of your login issue.

d. Add any relevant screenshots if necessary.

e. Click “Submit” to report the problem.

Bear in mind that it may take some time for Facebook to review your request.

In Conclusion:

Losing access to your Facebook password and associated email or phone numbers can create a frustrating experience. Fortunately, by using these alternative methods outlined above, you can reset your password and regain control of your account. Remember to set up trusted contacts and regularly update your account recovery options to avoid potential complications in the future.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
