Are you looking for geometry apps, tools, and resources that you can use with your students? If so, we have you covered. Check out our list below. Let us know if there are any that we missed.

Apollonius– This is a responsive geometry application that allows you to make drawings similar to those you can make with a ruler and compass. The drawings can be moved around and manipulated, allowing the user to explore the relationship between the objects. The user interface is designed for touch screen devices, which makes it a particularly immersive geometry app.

Beyond Cats! Kindergarten Math– Winner of the “Editor’s Choice Award” from the prestigious Children’s Technology Review. The app can be used throughout the school year to teach numbers and geometry to your kindergartener. The app includes a variety of question forms and even more ways to provide answers.

Todo Math– Designed for students aged 3-8 to practice math skills, Todo Math has over 700 activities. There are daily math challenges, skill-based math missions, and comprehension quizzes. Todo Math was designed to focus on counting and cardinality, number operations, mathematical reasoning, time and money, and geometry. To ensure that Todo Math is as accessible as possible, it has a dyslexic function, left-handed mode, and eight language options. To encourage engagement, the app includes a reward system where students collect monsters to win prizes and reach higher levels.

Montessori Geometry –- Recognize and learn shapes – This platform teaches children how to recognize and name geometric shapes. The game consists of puzzles that are designed to teach kids the names of different shapes. As students make progress, they earn points, which are then converted into medals.

CanFigureIt Geometry – This platform teaches students to work through geometric proofs with or without provided information. It offers numerous options for students, ranging from typing in choices to choosing one of the various preset theorems available. Helpful tips are found throughout the game so that students do not get stuck. It replaces passive involvement by allowing students to participate actively while learning to solve geometric proofs. Teachers monitor students on the teacher’s dashboard.

Math Cats – Math Cats uses math exploration and suggestion tools to teach math and engage kids in other interactive activities. The interface is designed with cats to attract the attention of young kids who tend to love cats. Math Cats is divided into interactive sections that focus on different aspects of math, such as geometry and probability. Users also have access to content submitted by other users.

Lifeliqe – This learning platform educates students with the use of 3-D models, augmented reality, and virtual reality. It includes subjects such as biology, culture, physics, paleontology, geometry, and so on. There are 620 preinstalled lesson plans for different subjects. The interface of this platform is quite easy to navigate. Lifeliqe is available as a website and app with its implementations on iPad and Windows, showing the most functionality.

DragonBox Elements – Geometry – This is a puzzle-based game designed to teach geometry.  The game is designed such that users’ activities are aimed at defeating a monster plaguing a tower. The game is divided into seven chapters featuring a series of challenging puzzles at each level; as kids solve the puzzles, they progress in the game and learn geometric concepts at the same time.

Shapes 3D Geometry Drawing-This app allows you to sketch line segments, cross-sections within 3-D shapes, and pivot solids to access a better view and detect what you can build inside them. You can peruse 27 shapes, effortlessly rotate solids and examine their properties, sketch line segments across two points, create cross-sections, and 2-D shapes within the solids. This app also allows you to detect vertices, edges, and faces.

CK-12- Helps students and teachers to improve elementary learning worldwide by making personal education tools available. Learn more than 5,000 math and science topics at a speed that suits you. Math topics include arithmetic, measurement, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, trigonometry, analysis, and calculus. Science subjects include geography, life science, physical science, biology, chemistry, and physics. Other subjects include SAT exam prep, engineering, technology, astronomy, English, and history.

Beyond Cats! Kindergarten Math – Winner of the “Editor’s Choice Award” from the prestigious Children’s Technology Review. The app can be used throughout the school year to teach numbers and geometry to your kindergartener. The app includes a variety of question forms and even more ways to provide answers.

Arloon: Geometry– Students can study geometry in 3-D using augmented reality. This new approach lets students improve their spatial awareness of geometric figures. They can view geometry figures from multiple angles and strengthen their geometry knowledge base.

Moose Math– Designed for any three- to eight-year-old, Moose Math takes your child on a math adventure where they will have fun and learn. There are five activities in various locations around town. Hit up the Moose Juice Store to practice addition and subtraction, Puck’s Pet Shop to learn sorting, or the Lost & Found to get a better hang of geometry. The Dust Funnies and Duck Duck Moose characters in this app will help your child master math and crush Common Core Standards. There is even an option for parents or educators to receive a report card to track children’s progress.

GeoGebra– GeoGebra comes with an easy-to-use interface and many features that help you create, modify, and share math simulations and models. It comes with multiple platforms and dynamic math software that brings together tables, graphing, geometry, algebra, calculus, and statistics in a free easy-to-use package. The app also comes with free and open source software; it has received many educational software awards in the US and Europe.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
