Dillard University is a private HBCU situated in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is associated with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Students at the university benefit from small class sizes and personalized instruction, with a student/faculty ratio of only 14 to 1. The institution offers 22 undergraduate majors within its schools and colleges. Students are involved in campus life as well, participating in more than 30 organizations and clubs and an active Greek life with six fraternities and sororities. The Dillard Bleu Devils play in the NAIA Division I Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Overview of Dillard University Admissions

Dillard University may seem selective since about six out of every ten applicants will not get in. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
