Bluefield State College is a public, four-year institution situated in Bluefield, West Virginia. It is a historically black institution that supports a student body of about 1,500 with a student/faculty ratio of 12 to 1. BSU institution has a host of undergraduate degrees across their schools. It is home to numerous student clubs and organizations, as well as fraternities and sororities. The institution also has intramural sports, including Water Polo, Billiards, and Call of Duty Tournaments. For intercollegiate athletics, BSC plays in the NCAA Division II West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Overview of Bluefield State College Admissions

Bluefield State has an acceptance rate of 76%. Students with good grades and good test scores are likely to be admitted. Applicants must complete an online application, and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Half of the students submit SAT scores while half submit ACT scores. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
