Orlando, FL – June 29, 2023 – PowerSchool, a leading provider of education technology solutions, unveiled its annual Education Focus Report at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference this week. The report, based on data collected from millions of students and educators using PowerSchool’s platforms, sheds light on key trends shaping the education landscape.

Key Takeaways from the Report:

Personalized Learning Takes Center Stage: The report highlights the growing adoption of personalized learning strategies. Educators are increasingly leveraging technology to tailor instruction to individual student needs, using data analytics to identify learning gaps and provide targeted support.

Addressing Student Mental Health: The report underscores the crucial role of technology in addressing student mental health. Schools are implementing tools that facilitate communication and provide access to resources like counseling and support groups, promoting a more holistic approach to student well-being.

The Rise of Hybrid Learning Models: The report shows a continued shift towards hybrid learning models, with schools embracing flexible learning environments that blend in-person and online instruction. This trend reflects the need to provide students with more personalized and flexible learning experiences.

Equity and Access: A Continued Focus: The report emphasizes the importance of equity and access in education. Schools are leveraging technology to bridge the digital divide and ensure all students have equal opportunities to learn and succeed.

The Power of Data Insights: The report stresses the importance of data-driven decision-making. By analyzing data on student performance, attendance, and engagement, educators can gain valuable insights to improve teaching practices and support student success.

PowerSchool’s Commitment to Data-Driven Solutions:

The Education Focus Report underscores PowerSchool’s commitment to empowering educators with data-driven insights. The company offers a suite of solutions that provide real-time data on student performance, attendance, and engagement, enabling educators to make informed decisions and personalize learning experiences.

“The data in our annual Focus Report offers a powerful snapshot of the trends shaping education today,” said Hardeep Gulati, CEO of PowerSchool. “We are committed to providing educators with the tools and resources they need to effectively leverage data and technology to support student success.”

Beyond the Report:

PowerSchool’s presence at ISTE extends beyond the report. The company is actively engaged in conversations with educators, showcasing its latest solutions and collaborating on innovative ways to leverage technology to improve student outcomes.

The Education Focus Report offers valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and anyone interested in the future of education. By understanding these key trends, stakeholders can work collaboratively to create a more equitable and effective learning environment for all students.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
