Bacone College is situated about two hours east of Oklahoma City in the city of Muskogee. The institution has a large selection of undergraduate and graduate degree programs for students to choose from. A robust student/faculty ratio backs students, and professors take a personalized approach to the teaching and learning process. Popular degree options include Nursing, Business, and Education majors. Outside of the classroom, students can join several on-campus student clubs and organizations. Athletically, the Bacone College Warriors play in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics within the Red River Athletic Conference.

Standardized scores are a part of the Bacone application; students must submit scores from either the SAT or ACT. Most students submit scores from the SAT, but neither test is a preference. Students with good grades and high test scores have a shot at being admitted to Bacone. You do not have to complete an essay or personal statement to be admitted to the university.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
