Here are some of the fantastic Thanksgiving crafts that you can explore:

1. Felt Turkey Napkin Rings: Create adorable napkin rings in the shape of turkeys using colorful felt pieces. These will add a festive touch to your Thanksgiving table setting.

2. Pine Cone Turkey Centerpieces: Gather pine cones and transform them into cute little turkeys by attaching feathers, googly eyes, and a beak. These can be used as centerpieces or decorations around the house.

3. Leaf-Stamped Tablecloth: Use real leaves or leaf-shaped stamps to create a unique and autumn-inspired tablecloth. Simply dip the leaves into fabric paint and press them onto a plain tablecloth to create charming designs.

4. Thankful Tree: Make a Thankful Tree by collecting twigs, placing them in a vase, and hanging paper leaves on them. Encourage family and friends to write down what they are grateful for on the leaves and add them to the tree.

5. Pumpkin Pie Playdough: Mix up a batch of pumpkin pie-scented playdough using flour, salt, cream of tartar, pumpkin pie spice, and orange food coloring. Children will love squeezing, shaping, and playing with this delicious-smelling dough.

6. Turkey Handprint Cards: Help kids create personalized cards by tracing their handprints onto cardstock and turning them into turkeys. Add googly eyes, a beak, and colorful feathers to complete the adorable Thanksgiving-themed cards.

7. Thanksgiving Wreath: Craft a beautiful wreath using colorful ribbon, artificial leaves, acorns, and other autumn-inspired decorations. Hang it on your front door to welcome guests and spread the Thanksgiving spirit.

8. Gratitude Jar: Decorate a mason jar and turn it into a gratitude jar. Encourage family members to write down what they are thankful for on small slips of paper and place them in the jar. This activity promotes gratitude and reflection.

9. Thanksgiving Paper Lanterns: Create festive paper lanterns in Thanksgiving-themed shapes such as turkeys, pumpkins, or leaves. Use colored paper, scissors, and glue to assemble these decorative pieces.

10. Harvest Corn Garland: Construct a garland using dried corn cobs, twine, and autumn-colored ribbons. Hang it across the fireplace or along the staircase to add a rustic touch to your Thanksgiving decorations.

These are just a few examples of the adorable DIY crafts you can make for Thanksgiving. Get creative, gather your materials, and have fun bringing these crafts to life. Enjoy the process of crafting with loved ones, and let these handmade creations add warmth and beauty to your Thanksgiving celebrations. Happy crafting!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
