Blended learning is a type of education in which educators use electronics and physical teaching. Many schools are relying on this type of teaching, as it seems to produce much better results.

But, for blended learning to be successful, the educator needs to know how to incorporate it into the classroom. We will be examining 5 tips that educators can use to properly teach via blended learning.

Use A Selection of Tools

You must integrate electronics into your lessons. You shouldn’t only rely on one tool as this can become boring or predictable.

To keep things fresh, try different tools and online games. For instance, use powerpoints every so often and show the class videos on the lesson’s topic. Virtual reality is a great way to immerse the learners in their work if you have the equipment.

Don’t Depend on Tech

It can be easy to place traditional teaching on the back burner during blended learning. This is because many learners get noticeably excited when they turn to electronics. But, face-to-face teaching is just as essential. You need to monitor your learners’ progress and understanding of the work.

Make Learning Accessible

Digital learning enables learners to have the opportunity to access the work even after the lesson is finished. But, as an educator, you need to store study material on a platform that can be accessed by the learners. For instance, if you show them a video or a PowerPoint, save the material to the cloud.

Customize Learning Pathways for Each Learner

Make sure that you use resources that have varying degrees of difficulty. This will provide a challenge for the more academically gifted learners, and you will assist the weaker learners.

Select a Blended Learning Model that Works

There are several models of blended learning. Before you implement this type of teaching into your classroom, you need to find a preferred model. For instance, the station rotation model involves learners rotating to different tech stations around the classroom.

Conclusion

Blended learning is a type of education in which educators use electronics and face-to-face teaching. You can incorporate this learning type into your classroom in so many ways. You should use an assortment of tools and choose a blended learning model. Make the material accessible to learners after the class is finished, and don’t rely too much on tech.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
