As the world becomes increasingly connected, reliable and fast internet has become a necessity for many households. With multiple devices connecting to the internet all at once, having a high-quality Wi-Fi router is essential to ensure smooth and efficient connectivity. The TP-Link Archer AX21 is a budget-friendly Wi-Fi 6 router that aims to offer just that. In this article, we will take a closer look at the features and performance of this device to help you decide if it’s the right router for your home.

Design and Build

The TP-Link Archer AX21 sports a minimalistic design with a glossy black finish, making it easy to blend into any home decor. Its four external antennas are adjustable, which allows for optimal positioning to maximize Wi-Fi coverage in your space.

Features

The Archer AX21 comes with support for Wi-Fi 6 technology (802.11ax), which means faster speeds, better reliability, and improved performance compared to previous generations of Wi-Fi standards. It also supports OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies, improving the overall efficiency of your network by allowing multiple devices to connect simultaneously without slowing down your connection.

One of the key features of this router is its dual-band functionality, offering up to 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. This allows you to balance your device connections across both bands for optimal performance.

The device also includes four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for wired connections and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port for connecting your modem.

Setup and Management

Setting up the Archer AX21 is a breeze with the TP-Link Tether app, available for both iOS and Android devices. The app guides you through the setup process step by step, ensuring that your new router is up and running in no time. You can also use the app to manage your network settings, view connected devices, and run speed tests to ensure your Wi-Fi is performing optimally.

Performance

In real-world tests, the Archer AX21 has been reported to deliver solid performance considering its budget-friendly price tag. Users can expect a stable connection and coverage in small to medium-sized homes. While it may not provide the fastest Wi-Fi 6 speeds available on the market, it offers an impressive upgrade from most existing routers and is more than adequate for typical home usage such as streaming, video calls, and online gaming.

Conclusion

The TP-Link Archer AX21 is a great option for those looking to upgrade their home network without breaking the bank. With its Wi-Fi 6 capabilities and user-friendly setup through the Tether app, it offers a reliable connection and solid performance in a budget-friendly package. If you’re in need of an affordable yet capable Wi-Fi router for your home, consider giving the Archer AX21 a try.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
