Introduction:

The Outlook app is a popular choice for many iPhone users when it comes to managing emails. However, there are times when the app fails to sync emails, causing inconvenience. In this article, we will discuss the top 8 ways to fix the Outlook app not syncing emails on an iPhone.

1. Check your internet connection:

First and foremost, ensure that your iPhone has a stable internet connection. If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data or vice versa.

2. Restart Outlook app:

Sometimes, simply restarting the Outlook app can resolve syncing issues. Close the app completely and then reopen it to see if the issue is resolved.

3. Update Outlook app:

Check if there is an update available for your Outlook app. An outdated app can sometimes cause syncing problems. To update the app, go to the App Store, search for Microsoft Outlook, and tap on Update if available.

4. Check Outlook account settings:

Make sure your email account settings are correctly configured in the Outlook app. To do this, go to Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account, and enter your email address and password.

5. Re-add your email account:

If checking your account settings doesn’t work, try removing your email account from the Outlook app and then re-adding it. This can help establish a fresh connection between the app and your email account.

6. Clear cache and cookies:

Clearing cache and cookies in the Outlook app can also help resolve syncing issues. Go to Settings > Advanced > Reset Account within your Outlook app and choose “Delete” to clear cache and cookies.

7. Toggle background sync settings:

Ensure that background sync is enabled for the Outlook app in iPhone’s settings menu. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and toggle on the switch next to Microsoft Outlook.

8. Contact Microsoft Support:

If none of the above solutions work, it’s time to contact Microsoft Support for assistance. They can help troubleshoot any issues and provide guidance on resolving the problem.

Conclusion:

Syncing issues with the Outlook app on iPhone can be frustrating but are generally easy to fix. By following these 8 solutions, you will likely be able to restore your email syncing capability and get back to managing your emails seamlessly.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
