Rockford University is a private liberal arts institution situated in Rockford, Illinois. Students can select from over 70 academic programs, and majors in business and elementary education are amongst the most popular. Academics are backed by a 10 to 1 student/faculty ratio, and classes are small. Outside of the classroom, students can participate in 22 registered student organizations and clubs. Many of the school’s teams play in the NCAA Division III Northern Athletics Conference. The institution sponsors nine men’s and eight women’s varsity teams.

Rockford University has an acceptance rate of 49%. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. Applicants must complete an online application and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
