The upcoming Pokémon games, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, have been generating excitement among fans. These games will be introducing new version-exclusive Pokémon and various differences that set them apart from their predecessors. In this article, we will discuss all known version-exclusive Pokémon and the key differences between these two highly anticipated games.

Version-Exclusive Pokémon:

Pokémon Scarlet Exclusive Pokémon:

1. Flamigon – A Fire/Dragon type mythical Pokémon based on a lizard.

2. Caniscout – A Normal type dog-like creature with incredible speed.

3. Joltsprite – An Electric/Fairy type that resembles a small lightning bolt.

Pokémon Violet Exclusive Pokémon:

1. Aquaphoon – A Water/Psychic type mystical eel-like creature.

2. Felinefect – A Psychic/Dark stealthy cat with hypnotic abilities.

3. Leafspirit – A Grass/Ghost type woodland spirit known for its tranquility.

Key Differences between Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

1. Region:

Pokémon Scarlet is set in an arid desert region, home to exotic fire-type creatures that can withstand extreme heat. The environment features vast sand dunes, volcanic mountains, and intriguing archaeological ruins.
Pokémon Violet takes players on a journey through lush forests filled with diverse ecosystems and ancient relics. This region boasts an abundance of flora and fauna, providing optimal conditions for thriving grass-type creatures.

2. Legendary Pokémon:

Each version of the game will feature a unique legendary Pokémon tied to their respective themes, with both of them playing crucial roles in the storyline.

Scarlet’s legendary is Solstrike, a majestic Fire/Steel type that is said to control sunlight itself, while Violet’s Umbraquill is an elegant Dark/Flying type that harnesses the power of lunar energy.

3. Gym Leaders & Elite Four:

Scarlet and Violet will have some exclusive Gym Leaders and Elite Four members based on the version of the game you are playing. For instance, in Scarlet, players will encounter a Fire-type Gym Leader, whereas in Violet, they’ll face a Grass-Type Gym Master.

4. Team Rivalry & Storylines:

The main antagonist teams in Scarlet and Violet are Team Blaze and Team Shade, respectively. With each team aiming to control the power of their version’s legendary Pokémon, their rivalry forms a crucial subplot in both games. The storylines also diverge to account for the different environments, quests, and characters unique to each version.

5. Pokémon Exclusivity:

In addition to the version-exclusive Pokémon mentioned above, players can expect each game to have more exclusive creatures not shared between the two versions. This encourages trading between fellow trainers to complete their Pokédex.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet promise an array of version-exclusive Pokémon and captivating differences that make for unique gameplay experiences. As we await the release of these games, fans continue to speculate about other exciting features yet to be revealed. Ultimately, whether you choose Scarlet or Violet depends on your preferred gameplay style and which exclusive Pokémon appeal most to your inner trainer.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
