Are you searching for phonemic awareness products that you can use with your learners? Check out the definitive list that we made. Who did we miss?

ABC Alphabet Phonics– A free product that instructs toddlers and young kids who are learning to speak. By applying different senses (sight, sound, etc.), kids can learn the alphabet and a few other optional studies. Parents can also personalize the product using their voice and taking photos of their kids favorite items to make the experience more stimulating and personal.

ABC Alphabet Phonics: Song– An entertaining learning experience for kids new to the alphabet. They learn the name and the sound the letters make when utilized in words while having so much fun that they do not realize they are learning. Supported on both iPhone and iPad.

ABC MAGIC– Help your kid master phonology and pronunciation using this product. Kids can select to either match letters to pictures or pictures to letters. This helps them associate letters with their most popular pronunciation. Both the letters and pictures have touch-activated sound features to help kids learn and retain what they learn.

ABC Phonics – Short Vowel Words– Permits growing children to master phonics by shooting missiles to find words from the submarine they are navigating. PhonicsOne is especially for children learning to read; PhonicsTwo and PhonicsThree are available for middle school children. Kids are rewarded with jewels and a mini game upon completion of a level.

ABC Phonics – Rhyming Words–Assists kids in mastering phonics by matching rhyming word pairs. Kids are rewarded with jewels and a mini game upon completion of a level. This product also helps kids recognize how consonant and vowel placements impact pronunciation, such as in “ch” and “sh.”

ABC Phonics – Make a Word– Offers phonics and spelling solutions to kids who are learning to read. All the words have short vowel sounds. Phonics Advanced is available for older kids, and it comes with long and double vowel sounds. It also helps kids recognize how consonant and vowel placements affect pronunciation.

ABC Phonics – Animated– Developed utilizing the expertise of phonics educators, this product is an excellent introduction to phonics. Alphabets are written on the screen with animated tracing for the kid to follow, and the product pronounces the letters for the kid. This combination helps the kid build a solid basis to grow.

ABC Phonics – Word Family Tree– Combines phonics, spelling, beginning sound word family phonics, short vowel sounds, and pictures with many visual enhancements for each word. The product contains a total of 56-word family groups to be utilized to teach short and long vowels, spelling, and pronunciation using the Montessori Method.

ABC Spelling Magic 1– By using ABC Spelling magic, your kid learns the sounds letters make and how to use them to form words. The product also teaches the kid to segment, which is a vital part of learning to read. The first portion of the product uses a limited number of letters to form words, while the second portion contains all 26 letters of the alphabet. The product teaches the kid to spell words utilizing three phonetic sounds and short vowel sounds.

ABC Spelling Magic 2– Focuses on using consonant clusters to form words. The product also teaches the kid to segment, which is a vital part of learning to read. The first portion of the product uses a limited number of letters to form words, while the section part contains all 26 letters of the alphabet.

ABC Spelling Magic 3– The 3rd stage in the series,  This product gives your kid the chance to learn 4- to 7-letter word constructions with several syllables. It contains nine segments with 108 words to keep your kid interested.

Sound Literacy – Sound Literacy is an instructional tool for building literacy, including phonemic awareness, phonological processing, and morphemic word building. It is primarily meant to be utilized by an educator or tutor with the learner as no themes or concept packages are included. The product is composed of letter tiles, blank tiles, and all common spelling patterns. Specially designed spelling ladders allow learners to build and compare phonemes. Also included are phoneme maps, the ability to personalize tile sets, and popovers that indicate different ways to spell each phoneme from most to least common. Sound Literacy is a valuable addition to any word study program or literacy time.

Sound Salad – An product utilized to train concentration, attentive listening, and imaginative and critical thinking; Sound Salad is a sound-object association game. Learners match objects with sounds to help Mr. Ear on his journey toward perfect harmony. There are eight levels with 96 objects and sounds, which can be played at three degrees of difficulty: easy, advanced, and speed. Sound-object association has been shown to enhance phonological awareness and perception abilities, which are basic for language development. Sound Salad is safe and kid-friendly with no in-product purchases, data collection, or third-party

Funny Phonemes Slang Fest!– The Funny Phonemes slang fest is made for older children to practice hearing phonemes and the arrangement of missing words. With over 250 words, which include schoolyard epithets, surfing terms, and social media lingo, children will learn and find phonemes.

The Joy of Reading – Designed to support early reading, The Joy of Reading contains nine multi-level games with explicit instruction in phonics and phonemic awareness. The Joy of Reading contains these basic abilities, which are all aligned to Kindergarten Common Core State Standards: phonemic awareness, letter tracing, letter recognition, rhyming and blending sounds, differentiation of long and short vowel sounds, spelling, recognition of compound words, recollection of common high-frequency words, and reading emergent-reader texts with fluency. There are three different game modalities for educators or guardians to select from, including a guided learning path, free play, and practice with specific words in the ABC dictionary. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
