Oakwood University is a private HBCU with ties to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The institution’s campus is situated in Huntsville, Alabama. The institution has a large selection of undergraduate and graduate degree programs for students to choose from. A robust student/faculty ratio backs students, and professors take a personalized approach to the teaching and learning process. Overview of Oakwood University Admissions

Oakwood University is not an extremely selective school—in 2019, the school had an acceptance rate of 66%. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
