Northeastern Illinois University’s 67-acre campus is situated in a residential area on the Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois. Northeastern Illinois University has over 80 academic programs with professional majors in business, communications, and education being extremely popular among undergraduates. Academics are backed by a 14 to 1 student/faculty ratio. Student life at the institution is robust, and students can select from over 70 official student organizations and clubs, including eight sororities and five fraternities. Decades ago, the institution decided to drop its expensive intercollegiate athletic programs.

Overview of Northeastern Illinois University Admissions

In 2019, Northeastern Illinois University accepted over half of the applicants. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. Applicants must complete an online application and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts. Glowing recommendation letters can bolster your application, along with being involved with student organizations and attempting a challenging course load. Students with unique talents and accomplishments can still receive strong consideration even if their GPAs are outside of the mean range. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
