Introduction:
The Nintendo Switch has become a popular gaming console for its versatility, allowing users to enjoy a wide range of games both at home and on the go. One feature that gamers often take advantage of is the ability to track their play time on individual games. Whether you are curious about how many hours you have spent conquering Zelda: Breath of the Wild or simply want to keep track of your progress in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, learning how to check your play time on Nintendo Switch games is an easy and convenient way to stay informed about your gaming habits.

Steps to Check Your Play Time on Nintendo Switch Games:

1. Power on your Nintendo Switch console and navigate to the home screen.

2. From the home screen, select your user profile icon, which can be found in the upper-left corner of the screen.

3. Once you have accessed your user profile page, scroll down and click on “Play Activity.” This section provides an overview of your gaming history, including information about how long you have played specific titles.

4. Browse through the list of games displayed under “Play Activity” to find the game whose play time you want to check. The play time will be displayed beneath the game’s title in increments of 5 hours (i.e., 5 hours or more, 10 hours or more, etc.). Keep in mind that the list is organized based on the last time you played each game, with more recent sessions appearing at the top.

5. For a more accurate breakdown of your play time, highlight a specific game and press A on your controller to view its individual game page. Here, you will find more detailed information about your total play time in hours and minutes.

6. If you want to display additional information such as when you first started playing a particular game, simply toggle between tabs by pressing R or L on your controller.

Keep Track of Your Progress:

Now that you know how to check your play time on Nintendo Switch games, you can easily track your gaming progress and monitor individual game sessions. Whether you’re aiming for longer play times, establishing new personal records, or simply keeping tabs on your favorite titles, the information is all readily available at your fingertips. Happy gaming!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
