The Fashion Institute of Technology is a public college situated on West 27th Street in Manhattan’s fashion district. Students can choose from more than 40 majors and 8 certificate programs. The curriculum has a liberal arts focus, but students can also expect significant hands-on, real-world educational experiences. Academics are backed by a 16-to-1 student/faculty ratio. Outside of the classroom, students will find plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community via the university’s many clubs and organizations.

The Fashion Institute of Technology accepts just over 50% of applicants and has a selective admissions process. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. Applicants should complete an online application, and send test scores from either the SAT or ACT and high school transcripts.
