Cleveland, Ohio, has earned a prestigious spot on Forbes’ list of the most educated cities in the United States. The city’s commitment to education and its vibrant academic landscape have propelled it into the national spotlight, showcasing its talent pool and potential for future growth.

The ranking, which considers factors like the percentage of residents with a bachelor’s degree or higher, highlights Cleveland’s impressive educational achievements. With a significant concentration of higher education institutions, including Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University, the city boasts a thriving academic community.

This recognition is not only a testament to the quality of education available in Cleveland but also reflects a broader cultural shift. The city’s residents, particularly millennials, are increasingly prioritizing education and seeking opportunities for professional and personal growth. This, in turn, fuels innovation and attracts businesses seeking a skilled workforce.

Cleveland’s ranking serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the city’s resilience and its ability to compete on a national level. As the city continues to invest in education and foster a culture of learning, its position as a hub for talent and innovation is sure to solidify, promising a bright future for Cleveland’s residents and its economy.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
