36 Scholarships for Teacher Education Majors

Spread the love

Back in the Fall of 1996, I started my quest to become a teacher. However, the biggest obstacle that I faced was not the coursework, but figuring out how I would pay for my education, without being saddled with a boatload of debt. I found a small scholarship for teacher education majors, but it just wasn’t enough. I ended up taking out a few loans, and thankfully it was enough to finance my education.

Many years later, I started to find out about all of these scholarships for teacher education majors and was floored. I wish I would have been privy to this information, but my journey began before Google was even invented. No worries, I won’t cry over spilled milk, but I will try to help the next generation of teachers enter the field without a mountain of debt. To accomplish this, I have created a list of 36 scholarships for teacher education majors, and it can be found below. I hope it helps.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
