St. Maarten in the Caribbean islands is praised as a top vacation destination, especially for people looking for travel inspiration because of its beautiful blue waters, sunny beaches, and vibrant nightlife.

There are 37 distinct sandy beaches in St. Maarten, each with its unique personality and characteristics.

This location is reachable and will provide you with the well-deserved holiday you require as a well-known tourist island.

But despite the abundance of dunes and clear waters, we decided to go ahead and compiled a list of St. Maarten’s top beaches.

Try it out and make the most of your trip to the Caribbean!

  1. Mullet Bay

For tourists seeking a quiet beach with a soothing atmosphere, Mullet Bay is a perfect choice.

It is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in St. Maarten with its lovely quiet waves and sandy coastlines.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

Among the best activities in St. Maarten is surfing, which is particularly enjoyable in Mullet Bay due to its favorable northern winds.

Here, you may unwind with your pals while enjoying a Pina Colada at the sand bar.

Expert advice

Mullet Bay could be too crowded on Saturdays, so we advise visiting during the week to get the most out of your time at the beach.

  1. Tintamarre Island

Tintamarre Island, which is part of St. Maarten’s northern region, is a remote paradise unmatched anywhere.

Why We Suggestion This Seaside

This island is a gorgeous location, complete with the finest powdery beaches, clear water, and the finest fresh breezes of cool air.

The island is renowned for being a great place to go trekking and exploring the captivating red cliffs that are dotted all over the place.

expert advice

This island, which is well-known for being a component of Saint-Natural Martin’s Reserve, is a popular location for snorkeling.

Don’t pass up the chance to discover the underwater beauty of the aquatic world.

  1. Grand Case Beach

Grand Case Beach is an excellent vacation spot because of its crystal-clear waves, stunning horizon, and peaceful atmosphere.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

This beach’s calm waves support its designation as St. Maarten’s top swimming beach.

In addition, there is a small fishing community beside the shore, which contributes to a calm atmosphere that contrasts with the energetic nightlife of many other beaches in St. Maarten.

expert advice

It is simple to spend a day visiting this wonderful beach; just remember to bring some energy and a big appetite for eating the local cuisine.

  1. Orient Bay Beach

Would you like to create a French au naturel atmosphere? The ideal vacation site, Orient Bay Beach, is situated on St. Maarten’s northeastern shore.

Why We Suggest This Seaside

This exceptional beach, which is a favorite destination for celebrities, has a wide selection of eateries, lodging options, and retail establishments right on the sand that makes it easy for visitors to buy trinkets.

expert advice

On windy days, the waves could become too high; be aware of this.

You can make sure that your trip to the beach will be wonderful by using weather-predicting software.

  1. Cupecoy Beach

The fact that this beach is broken into smaller shorelines with adjacent limestone cliffs makes it distinct from other St. Maarten beaches, which tourists will find appealing.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

It conveys a sense of semi-privacy without being completely remote, providing you access to a public area where you may stroll and enjoy the sunshine.

We advise you to spend Cupecoy Beach’s magnificent sunset at the restaurant while you wait for the lively atmosphere at night.

expert advice

We advise staying at one of the charming homes by the cliff, where you can take in the magnificent view of the azure ocean.

  1. Friar’s Bay Beach

Among St. Maarten’s top beaches, Friar’s Bay beach would be a true treasure.

Due to its calm waves, it is a wonderful place for novices to learn how to surf and is situated on St. Maarten’s northwest coast.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

You may go hiking in Happy Bay, a popular destination for locals and tourists if you’re feeling daring.

After a day of hiking, you should try to have a filling lunch at one of Friar’s Bay’s renowned coastal eateries.

Families seeking a place to spend time together and participate in activities will find this location to be less congested.

Like on most of the beaches in St. Maarten, the sundown is also breathtaking.

expert advice

When strolling along the shore, swim shoes may be useful, and there could be tiny rocks in the water.

  1. Dawn Beach

A beautiful vacation destination, Dawn Beach is situated just south of the border of St. Maarten.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

Schedule your alarms early so you can get a glimpse of a beautiful sunset if you’re an early bird traveler.

expert advice

Bring all of the necessary equipment or choose to rent a snorkeling set to make sure you can experience Dawn Beach’s magnificent underwater sights.

  1. Kim Sha Beach

In St. Maarten’s Kim Sha Beach, there is constantly a bustling scene.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

The stunning beach and crystal-clear sand entice tourists to swim early in the day.

For the group looking for daytime thrills, water sports are another choice.

The commencement of the nightlife, with its flashing lights, raucous atmosphere, and other nighttime activities, occurs as the clock strikes sunset.

For partygoers looking to have a blast, Kim Sha beach would be the spot to be.

expert advice

When you want to acquire a tan and soak up the sun, this beach’s chairs and umbrellas beside the water are ideal!

  1. Little Bay Beach

Little Bay Beach is renowned for its extensive stretches of fine white sand, tranquil waters, and fantastic snorkeling opportunities.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

You may take a detour to this beach, which is great and is close to the Great Bay.

Due to the calm sea and proximity of aquatic activities, this location is also regarded as the least risky beach for children.

expert advice

It’s a lovely beach with a diverse ecology of fish, so we recommend giving the snorkeling activities a shot for some fun!

  1. Great Bay Beach

Great Bay Beach is a delightful stopover for daytrippers on a Caribbean cruise excursion because it’s situated at the top of Philipsburg.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

This beach, which attracts visitors from all over the world, is a fantastic vacation spot for people of all ages.

Here, you may sample the traditional delicacies and sate your appetite at one of the many restaurants the area has to offer.

The Great Bay Beach is one of our top recommendations among the many lovely beaches in St. Maarten since it is a well-kept location with white dunes and pristine waters.

expert advice

Don’t skip out on stopping by the many gift shops to pick up some souvenirs and mementos to take home.

  1. Indigo Bay Beach

Due to its high standards, Indigo Bay Beach is well-known and favored by tourists.

If you’re looking for long, expansive coastline beaches and crystal-clear waters, it’s also the ideal location.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

Numerous activities are available at Indigo Beach Bay.

You will never be short of things to do, whether it is swimming, sunbathing, or water sports.

This location is undoubtedly enjoyable, whether you’re searching for a relaxing day by the beach or a day packed with exciting activities.

expert advice

This island also offers kayaking, a must-try sport for people of all ages that allows you to paddle all across the entire body of water.

  1. Guana Bay

Guana Bay Beach is conveniently located on the way to Philipsburg, allowing it simple for day visitors to take a diversion and enjoy this quaint beach.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

You will have plenty of time for relaxing and sunbathing because it is rather quiet and uncrowded.

Additionally, this beach is a fantastic location for snorkeling among the magnificent coral reefs and waterways.

A Pro Tip

You could decide to bring your mat and umbrellas for lunches and sunbathing and save some cash while still taking advantage of the services at this beach.

  1. Oyster Pond

The Oyster Pond provides one of St. Maarten’s most attractive beaches thanks to its lovely horizon, breathtaking perspective, and excellent eateries.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

If you go on a journey in the Oyster Pond, the vista, including the evenings and docked yachts, will make a postcard memory in addition to the beach taking your breath away.

On this island, there are mountainside residences, entertaining tours, and sightseeing opportunities. If you’re visiting the Caribbean, you should give it a shot.

expert advice

If you’re seeking a location that oozes peacefulness, Oyster Pond is ideal.

If you’re looking for a peaceful beach without a touristy atmosphere, this is the place to go.

  1. Burgeaux Beach

This one is for travelers with a thirst for adventure. Surfers congregate at Burgeaux Beach, which is situated in St. Maarten’s southwest region.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

Among the most gorgeous sunsets, we’ve ever seen is at this location.

Burgeaux beach is among the top beach spots on the island, and that feature alone will entice you to visit.

A Pro Tip

This beach is only a 30-minute drive from St.Barths, so we advise you to go there as a side excursion to round off your ideal Caribbean getaway.

  1. Divi Beach

What else could you want from a beach than Divi Beach’s crystal-clear waves, stunning shoreline, and fine sand?

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

Boasting amazing marine life, which you might see if you tried snorkeling.

This is the spot to be for travelers looking for a peaceful and unwinding getaway.

Divi Beach is a welcoming destination to stay at thanks to the residents’ friendliness and attractiveness toward visitors.

expert advice

You can try out their snorkeling and aquatic fun for less money than some other beaches in St. Maarten if you’re traveling with youngsters who enjoy water sports.

  1. Maho Bay Beach

Are you seeking a handy and accessible special experience by the beach?

Visit Maho Bay Beach, which is a short distance from Princess Juliana International Airport.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

The waves are quite clean, the sand is white, and the planes in the sky provide an enjoyable experience. It’s customary on the island to shout “Maho!” when a plane flies over your head.

It is among the most visited beaches in St. Maarten due to the plane landing overhead.

expert advice

When the bigger planes take away from the airport, look out for sandy sprays just on shore as they may occur, so make sure to bring some glasses or eye protection gear with you.

  1. Baie Rouge

Baie Rouge provides long, expansive shorelines and crystal-clear, calm waters, making it unquestionably one of our favorite spots among St. Maarten’s top beaches.

Reasons for Our Favorite Beach

What you would anticipate a Caribbean beach to look like is Baie Rouge. The beach and surroundings at this location are picture-perfect, making it the perfect destination for your best vacation ever.

expert advice

Teenagers, newlyweds, and families typically hang out in the center of the beach.

The region to the right is where kids and families can interact through a variety of recreational pursuits, and the area to the left is the section of the beach designated for adults to enjoy nude sunbathing.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
