When traveling with children in Dallas, you should make time to visit this iconic attraction.

This museum will enthrall you with its outstanding displays because it is home to a sizable collection of artwork.

Kids can explore the several interactive displays on display at the Center of Creative Connections in addition to simply admiring the exhibits.

  1. Klyde Warren Park — Dallas Arts District

The park has plenty of fun activities, including playgrounds and splash pads.

What You’ll Experience

Want to visit a free water park in Dallas, Texas?

I recommend that you go to Klyde Wade Park.

The truth is that this isn’t a huge water park with slides, buckets, and pools.

The park does, however, include some wonderful water elements that will satisfy your kids’ hunger for splashy enjoyment.

The interactive fountain created by a caterpillar that gracefully evolves into a butterfly is our favorite water element.

And I can assure you that children will adore the sight of the water bursting from the butterfly’s wings.

The playgrounds, storytelling tree, and kid-sized amphitheater in the park make it even better.

Did we also mention that it is a venue for a number of free kid-friendly activities in Dallas?

Undoubtedly among Dallas’s most delightfully peculiar sights is The Giant Eyeball.

What You’ll Experience

There are unique quirks in every city.

The enormous 30-foot fiberglass eyeball is just one of the many fantastically bizarre sights and attractions in Dallas.

The Giant Eyeball is the personification of the phrase “everything’s larger in Texas,” created by acclaimed multimedia artist Tony Tasset.

And even though it’s guarded, you can still easily view this sculpture from the walkways close by.

Recommended Ages

Children as young as 9 will delight in taking images of the captivating and exquisitely weird Giant Eyeball.

  1. Belo Garden — Downtown

Belo Garden offers a tranquil retreat right in the middle of the city.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
