Not only are these activities a great way to cool down, but they also provide endless opportunities for learning and exploration. So grab your swim gear, put on some sunscreen, and get ready for a summer filled with water play!

1. Water Balloon Toss: Grab a partner and see how far you can toss a water balloon without it bursting. Not only is this game a blast, but it also helps develop hand-eye coordination.

2. Slip ‘n Slide: Set up a Slip ‘n Slide in your backyard and slide your way to fun! This classic water activity is perfect for hot summer days and provides hours of entertainment.

3. Water Limbo: Grab a hose and turn it into a limbo stick. See how low you can go without getting wet!

4. Water Gun Tag: Arm yourself with water guns and chase your friends around the yard. The only way to stay safe is to stay dry!

5. Water Olympics: Create your very own water Olympics! From relay races to water balloon tosses, there are endless possibilities to keep everyone entertained and active.

6. Sponge Water Relay: Divide into teams and set up a relay race using sponges and buckets of water. The first team to fill their bucket wins!

7. DIY Water Table: Create your own water table using plastic bins and various objects. Let your little ones explore the different textures and learn about cause and effect.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
