Paul Quinn College is a private, four-year HBCU situated on a tree-lined campus in Dallas, Texas. PQC is associated with the African Methodist Episcopal church and has roughly 240 students backed by a student/faculty ratio of 22 to 1. The institution has a large selection of undergraduate and graduate degree programs for students to choose from. Outside of the classroom, students will find plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community via many clubs and organizations.  For intercollegiate athletics, the Paul Quinn Tigers play in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Red River Athletic Conference, and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).

Paul Quinn College had an acceptance rate of 90% in 2019, making it not overly selective. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
