Columbus State University is a four-year public institution situated in Columbus, Georgia. The institution offers more than 100-degree options and academic tracks. Academics are backed by a 16 to 1 student/faculty ratio. Students stay busy outside of the classroom, as the institution is home to plenty of intramurals, seven fraternities, eight sororities, and more than 110 student organizations and clubs, The CSU Cougars play in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference with sports such as men’s and women’s golf, cross country, and tennis. The rifle team plays at the Division I level. The institution also offers several club sports, including Martial Arts, Shotgun Club, and Bass Fishing.

Even though a significant percentage of applicants to Columbus State doesn’t get in, admission is not overly selective. Students whose SAT/ACT scores and GPA are within the institution’s requirements have a good chance of being admitted. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
