Introduction

The Myrtle Beach–Conway–North Myrtle Beach metro area in South Carolina, known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant tourism industry, is home to a diverse array of financial institutions. This article explores the top performers in banking, credit unions, and mortgage lending, considering factors such as customer service, financial products, and community involvement.

Body

In the banking sector, South Atlantic Bank has established itself as a leading institution in the area. Founded in 2007, this community bank has quickly grown to become a favorite among locals. Their personalized approach to banking, coupled with a strong understanding of the local economy, particularly the tourism and hospitality sectors, sets them apart from larger national banks.

For those who prefer credit unions, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union stands out as an excellent choice. Serving the Grand Strand area since 1957, Carolina Trust offers a wide range of financial products and services. Their commitment to member education and community involvement, along with competitive rates on loans and savings accounts, has earned them a loyal membership base.

In the mortgage lending arena, Coastal Carolina National Bank (CCNB) has made significant strides. While they offer full-service banking, their mortgage department has received particular acclaim. Their loan officers are well-versed in the unique aspects of the local real estate market, including vacation homes and investment properties, making them a go-to choice for both residents and those looking to invest in the area.

Conclusion

While these institutions have distinguished themselves in their respective categories, the best choice for individuals and businesses in the Myrtle Beach–Conway–North Myrtle Beach metro area will depend on specific financial needs and goals. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to research and compare options to find the financial institution that best aligns with their objectives.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
