Bethany College is a private institution associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The school’s 53-acre site is situated in Lindsborg, Kansas. Members of the campus community are connected by five core values: integrity, hospitality, community, servant leadership, and sustainability. The institution takes pride in the personal attention students receive, a feature that is supported by small classes and a healthy 16 to 1 student/faculty ratio. Bethany is a residential institution that offers over 45 student clubs and organizations, including a fraternity and sorority system. The Bethany Swedes play in the NAIA Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. The institution sponsors nine women’s and ten men’s intercollegiate sports.

Bethany College is an accessible institution, with 67% of applicants getting accepted in 2016. Students with good grades and good test scores are likely to be admitted. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
