Calling all parents of little goblins and ghouls! Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time to brew up some spooktacular fun for your preschoolers. Get ready for a cauldron full of giggles, creativity, and not-so-scary adventures that will make this Halloween unforgettable for your 3-5 year olds!

Crafty Creations

1.Handprint Spiders: Turn those tiny palms into creepy crawlers with black paint and googly eyes.

2.Toilet Roll Monsters: Upcycle cardboard tubes into adorable monsters with colorful paper and silly faces.

3.Pumpkin Painting: Skip the carving and let your little ones paint mini pumpkins with washable paints.

Ghostly Games

4.Candy Corn Bowling: Set up plastic bottles as pins and use a small pumpkin as the bowling ball.

5.Pin the Face on the Pumpkin: A Halloween twist on the classic party game.

6.Monster Freeze Dance: Play spooky tunes and have kids freeze in silly monster poses when the music stops.

Tasty Treats

7.Banana Ghosts: Dip bananas in white chocolate and add chocolate chip eyes for a healthy treat.

8.Pumpkin Pancakes: Start Halloween morning with orange-tinted pancakes shaped like jack-o’-lanterns.

9.Witch’s Fingers: Shape pretzel sticks with green-tinted cream cheese and add an almond “nail”.

Dress-up Delight

10.DIY Superhero Capes: Transform old t-shirts into colorful capes for little heroes.

11.Animal Masks: Create simple paper plate masks of favorite animals for instant costumes.

12.Cardboard Box Robots: Turn boxes into robot costumes with silver paint and imagination.

Remember, the key to a fantastic Halloween with preschoolers is keeping things light, fun, and just a tiny bit spooky. These activities are designed to spark creativity, encourage motor skills, and most importantly, create lasting memories.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
