Zoom has become an essential tool for virtual gatherings, including playdates and birthday parties for kids. If you’re looking for some fun Zoom games to keep the little ones entertained, you’re in luck! Here are 15 exciting and interactive games that can be played over Zoom.

1. Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of items for the kids to find around their houses within a time limit. The first one to collect all the items wins!

2. Pictionary: Have one player draw a picture while others try to guess what it is. You can use the whiteboard feature on Zoom for this game.

3. Bingo: Send out virtual bingo cards to all participants. Use an online bingo number generator to call out the numbers. The first player to complete a line or pattern wins.

4. Dance Party: Play some upbeat music and let the kids show off their dance moves.

5. Simon Says: Choose one player as Simon and have them give instructions while others follow. Players who fail to follow the instructions are out.

6. Charades: Each player acts out a word or phrase without speaking, and the others have to guess what it is.

7. Freeze Dance: Play music and have the kids dance. When the music stops, they have to freeze. The last player to freeze is out.

8. Story Time: Take turns creating a story, with each player adding a sentence. See where the story takes you!

9. Name That Tune: Play short snippets of popular songs and have the kids guess the name of the song.

10. Show and Tell: Each player can take turns sharing an object and telling a story about it.

11. Trivia Quiz: Prepare a list of kid-friendly trivia questions and ask them one by one. The player with the most correct answers wins.

12. Guess the Picture: Display an image on the screen and have the kids guess what it is. You can use Zoom’s screen sharing feature for this game.

13. Would You Rather: Present two options and have the kids choose which one they prefer. It can lead to hilarious discussions!

14. Mad Libs: Share a story with missing words and have the kids fill in the blanks with random nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

15. Virtual Show and Tell: Let each player share something special with the group, whether it’s a favorite toy, artwork, or pet.

Remember to adapt the games based on the age group and interests of the kids. With these 15 Fun Zoom Games, you’re sure to create a memorable and engaging virtual experience for the little ones!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
