Spread the love

While city life has its advantages, sometimes it’s nice to get away from the hustle and bustle with the family to a destination with all the conveniences of home and the relaxed atmosphere of a vacation.

Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains have all of these features and more.

If you seek the finest family-friendly Poconos resorts, you have arrived at the correct location.

  1. Skytop Lodge

In the Pocono Mountains, Skytop Lodge is an excellent option to consider if you desire the ambiance of a traditional mountain lodge with family-friendly amenities.

Skytop Lodge, with its 5,500-acre grounds, has welcomed visitors since 1928, making it one of the oldest resorts.

Bottom of Form

In addition to luxurious accommodations, the lodge has a variety of amenities that will keep you and your children occupied throughout the day.

This features an indoor and outdoor pool, riding stables for horse aficionados, a golf course, a driving range, and courts and lawns for basketball, tennis, and croquet, among other amenities.

In addition to being a superb all-inclusive resort for families with teenagers, Skytop will even accommodate requests for adjacent family rooms.

  1. Camelback Lodge & Indoor Waterpark

Not only does Camelback Lodge have some of the best hospitality in the Poconos, but it also has a wide variety of fun things to do with the family.

This 450-room resort opened to the public in 2015 and has since attracted a large clientele, primarily families with children, thanks to its extensive indoor and outdoor waterparks and other family-friendly amenities such as a gaming arcade, laser tag, and rock climbing.

There is a wide variety of rooms and suites, as well as multi-bedroom condos, to pick from if you’re searching for maximum comfort and exceptional utility.

Utilize the varied dining alternatives to make your family holiday unforgettable.

  1. Woodloch Resort

When looking for an excellent all-inclusive family resort in the Poconos, consider the Woodloch Resort.

This family-owned facility welcomed its first visitors in 1958, and its extensive selection of activities and entertainment options seems to grow with each new year.

With various swimming pools, water sports such as kayaking and water-skiing, scavenger hunts, a petting zoo, multiple playgrounds, paintball, and so much more, you and your family will never experience boredom.

You can partake in snowmobiling, ice skating, and other exhilarating sports if you visit during the winter.

  1. Great Wolf Lodge Poconos

Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos provides a wide variety of services and amenities designed to make your family vacation memorable and enjoyable.

There are several locations of this resort chain in the United States.

The lodging spans from standard rooms to opulent suites to tents and specialty options.

The resort has a mini-golf course, arcades, and many fun, interactive games for kids, like MagiQuest, water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and other pools for a fun day out.

The most admirable aspect of this resort is that there are fun things for kids of all ages to do and enjoy here.

  1. Bushkill Inn & Conference Center

The Bushkill Inn is not one of the historic properties that make the Poconos so famous.

This resort opened for business in 2012 and featured numerous accommodation choices.

The ordinary suites are adequate for smaller families, but the larger family suites are perfect for the extended family trips I so like.

There are tennis, basketball, and volleyball facilities at Bushkill Inn, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool, making it a great place to bring older children and teenagers.

In addition to the playgrounds, the Inn hosts movie nights and ice cream socials, which your kids may enjoy.

  1. Kalahari Resort Pocono Mountains

The Kalahari Resort, which opened in 2015 in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, was also created to provide family-friendly vacations.

Once you’ve checked into one of the property’s numerous lodging options, you’ll have access to the resort’s massive indoor water park, which features multiple pools, water slides, surfing simulators, and much more.

You can participate in mini-golf, scavenger hunts, and other activities when you are not in the water.

Any one of the resort’s seven dining alternatives might bring much-needed relief from your hunger sensations.

  1. Inn at Pocono Manor

One of the best Pocono Mountain family resorts, the Inn at Pocono Manor is spread across acres of woods and a picturesque lake.

Spanning over seven thousand acres, this resort is ideal for those who appreciate the past’s charm while appreciating the present’s conveniences.

The inn boasts both an outdoor and an indoor pool so that you can swim all year round, and I especially love the inn’s private theater, where you can arrange exciting movie nights.

The family can do something active together, like go on a hike or horseback riding, in addition to the usual game nights and ice cream parties.

  1. Split Rock Resort

Split Rock Resort is a fantastic option if you’re searching for a year-round getaway that won’t empty your bank account.

This 1,200-acre property on the banks of Lake Harmony was once a hunting and fishing lodge that has been updated to suit modern needs.

There are many different slides and pools available for you and your family to enjoy at this indoor water park.

The lake is a great place to spend time outdoors, fishing, canoeing, or kayaking.

Plenty of dining and entertainment options cater to guests of all ages at this resort.

  1. Silver Birches Resort

Silver Birches is committed to providing you with a healthy environment for your family vacation.

During the summer, guests may make the most of the resort’s prime location on Lake Wallenpaupack and its combination of rustic charm and first-rate facilities.

Most of the resort’s leisure options revolve around the lake, which is why this is the case.

You can take the kids out on a kayaking trip or relax and do some fishing.

The resort provides a taste of the ancient world by letting you swim near the lake’s edge.

  1. The Shawnee Inn

Shawnee Inn is the last entry on this list of family resorts in the Poconos.

This resort is located less than three miles from one of the top ski areas in the region, Shawnee Mountain, and is close to a massive number of trains and an exceptional learn-to-ski program for the youngsters that accompany you.

The hotel has rooms that are basic but cozy.

There are also a variety of dining options to suit all preferences.

The Poconos are a terrific alternative for a retreat from many of the major cities in the region of the mountain range, but you must be very discerning when choosing where to stay.

Family travel is exceptional, necessitating a thorough investigation of the vacation packages offered by each hotel for guests of all ages.

The resorts on this list achieve precisely this!

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
