The result of the partnership, Edlio Engage, will enable families to engage with schools in a way that has a proven track record of improving academic outcomes

(Los Angeles, CA) Jan. 20, 2020 —Edlio, the school communications leader trusted by more than 15,000 schools worldwide, has partnered with Livingtree to add a family engagement solution, currently available to Edlio clients, to its suite of tools connecting schools with communities.

For nearly two decades, Edlio has been focused on making it easy for educators to connect with families through beautiful, modern websites and streamlined payment tools. With the addition of Edlio Engage powered by Livingtree, Edlio is a one-stop shop for schools and districts looking to strengthen relationships with their communities.

“We often hear from school and district administrators how challenging it can be to unify and streamline teacher and parent connections,” said Edlio’s CEO, Ali Arsan. “With more than 40 million engagements, Livingtree has a proven record of meeting that challenge in a way that perfectly complements our mission at Edlio.”

As a result of the partnership, Edlio Engage will offer two-way conversations, enabling families to engage with schools in a way that has a proven track record of improving academic outcomes. Other features of Edlio Engage include:

  • Translation into more than 100 languages;
  • FES (Family Efficacy Score);
  • Direct messages;
  • Photo, video, and file sharing;
  • Email and mobile push notifications;
  • SIS integration;
  • School engagement reports;
  • District-wide engagement reports;
  • District-level visibility and access; and
  • Family engagement and platform tracking.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Edlio to expand the reach of our family engagement tools,” said Gary Hensley, Livingtree’s CEO. “We’re always eager to bring educators closer to families, and to be able to accomplish that through partnership with an organization that shares our vision of providing better educational outcomes by powering easy, effective platforms to connect school and home is a golden opportunity.”

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
