Overview of Andrews University

Andrews University is situated on a large 1,600-acre site near Berrien Springs, Michigan. Andrews is associated, and faith is the focal point of the student experience. The school’s motto captures this idea: “Seek knowledge. Affirm faith. Change the world.” Undergraduates can choose from  130 programs of study, and the school boasts an impressive 12:1 student/faculty ratio. Academic disciplines include physical therapy, business administration, biology, music, general studies, and nursing. Study abroad is encouraged at Andrews, and the school is highly regarded for its diverse and international student population. Outside of the classroom, students can join several student organizations and clubs, from intramural sports, and religious activities. Andrews University is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and the Cardinals play in both men’s and women’s basketball and soccer.

Overview of Andrews University Admissions

Andrews grants admission to one-third of students who apply. To gain admittance, applicants must have a high school GPA of 2.50. To apply, students need to apply, a high school transcript, and test scores from either the SAT or ACT. Both tests are accepted, but slightly more students submit ACT scores than SAT scores. Applicants also need to submit two recommendation letters. You can apply for both the fall and spring semesters. About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
