Texarkana College (TC) is celebrating a significant milestone: record enrollment in its dual credit program for the Fall 2023 semester. This achievement signifies a growing demand for affordable, accessible higher education opportunities for high school students in the region.

The dual credit program allows high school students to earn college credit while still attending their secondary school. This allows students to gain a head start on their college education, explore career interests, and potentially graduate with a degree faster and at a lower cost.

TC’s dual credit program has seen a substantial surge in enrollment this semester, with over [insert number] students currently enrolled. This is a testament to the program’s value and the growing recognition of its importance in preparing students for success after high school.

“We are thrilled to see such strong enrollment in our dual credit program,” said [insert name], Dean of [department]. “This success is a direct result of our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable education to our community, and we are proud to be empowering students to reach their full potential.”

TC’s dual credit program offers a wide variety of courses across various disciplines, including English, math, science, history, and more. The program also provides support services, including academic advising and tutoring, to ensure student success.

As TC continues to invest in its dual credit program, it aims to expand its offerings and further enhance the student experience. With its focus on affordability, accessibility, and quality, TC is poised to continue to empower students in the Texarkana region to achieve their educational and career goals.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
