2023 Best Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Marketing

Deciding which college to attend can be a daunting task. For many, it will be the most important decision that they make in their lives. To make an informed decision, you have to consider a lot of variables, such as cost of attendance, financial aid, student-teacher ratio, academics, student life, and more. These factors will either positively or negatively impact the quality of education that you receive.

Do you want to acquire a bachelor’s degree in marketing but don’t know what institution you should attend? Well, if you are as ambitious as I was in my late teens, then you want to attend a top school, instead of an average or mediocre one. Fortunately, we have already done the legwork for you. To help you find the right school for your interests and goals, we’ve compiled a list of 2022’s best bachelor’s in marketing programs.

  1. University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA

UPenn has undergraduate business programs that incorporate the liberal arts and sciences as well as a focus on international business perspectives. Wharton’s curriculum offers flexibility that enables learners to customize their degrees by taking classes in other schools and studying abroad. A dual degree, accelerated, and specialized programs are also available at UPenn’s business school. Learners may choose from many options to specialize, including marketing and communications, marketing and operations, or retailing.

  1. William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA

Both the graduate and bachelor’s degree programs are focused on first-class instruction, augmented by mentorship and experiential learning. The Raymond A. Mason School of Business avoids limiting its learners, allowing them to customize their bachelor’s business degree through an individualized program of study.

  1. University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI

UW’s School of Business, established in 1900, was one of the first five business programs in the United States. More than 2,500 learners are enrolled in the school’s bachelor of business administration degree program. With 541 partners, Wisconsin’s business school gives learners a good chance of being recruited for jobs in their areas of study.

  1. Penn State, University Park, PA

Penn State has awarded more than 75,000 degrees since its opening in 1953 and currently grants admission to over 6,000 undergraduate and graduate learners. The marketing major is organized into 12 core concepts including brand management, digital marketing, marketing analytics, and sports marketing.

  1. University of Florida, Gainesville, FL

UF has a bachelor of science (BS) in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Learners within the concentration study a range of concepts, including consumer behavior, marketing management, and principles of marketing.

  1. University of Washington, Seattle, WA

The University of Washington grants admission to more than 2,500 learners in its business bachelor’s and master’s programs. One-fourth of first-year candidates at the institution request majors within the Foster School of Business.

  1. Brigham Young’s Marriott School of Business, Provo, UT

Of learners graduating with a bachelor of science (BS) in business management, 96 percent find employment within three months of graduation. Available emphases consist of entrepreneurship, international supply chain, strategy, human resources, and marketing. Collaboration among learners is emphasized within each degree program in the business major. Study includes a focus on consumer behavior, marketing research, and advertising and promotion management.

  1. University of Maryland, College Park, MD

Undergraduate business students can enroll in the university’s prominent bachelor’s in marketing degree program, and they can major in an variety of areas. Marketing learners study concepts such as marketing policies and strategies, customer-centric innovation, and international marketing.

  1. University of Georgia, Athens, GA

The undergraduate curriculum is continually evolving to accommodate the needs of learners entering a competitive job market. UGA’s marketing major emphasizes analytical skills, requiring an array of classes to strengthen learners’ abilities in this area.

  1. Miami’s School of Business Administration, Coral Gables, FL

The University of Miami has a degree and certificate programs at its primary Coral Gables campus and other locations across Florida and around the world.

  1. Villanova University, Villanova, PA

The Villanova School of Business has a diverse and enriching educational experience. About 50 percent of classes taken by business majors are in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which enables learners to reinforce skills such as critical insight, mature judgment, and independent thinking. Regardless of a learner’s major, the chosen discipline is placed in an international business context. Classes involve the study of buyer behavior, digital marketing, integrated marketing communications, and marketing of services.

  1. University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA

Pitt has undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs in various business fields. The College of Business Administration offers an undergraduate education based on challenging real-world experience. Classes involve the study of principles of selling, salesforce management, public relations management, and advertising and social media strategy.

  1. Clemson University, Clemson, SC

The bachelor of science degree in marketing can be approached from a general or specialized viewpoint. The degree program was created to develop a broad comprehension of marketing principles and their place in the business world. Still, learners can select to focus on particular subjects within the degree, such as promotional strategy, public and nonprofit marketing, entrepreneurship, or international marketing.

  1. Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX

SMU has a bachelor of business administration in marketing, a degree program that is managerially focused and research driven. Marketing majors receive classes in general education, business core, and marketing core as well as two marketing electives and one business elective. Graduates of SMU’s marketing degree program have gone on to careers in sales, retail management and buying, marketing research, and advertising.

About Us

The Edvocate was created in 2014 to argue for shifts in education policy and organization in order to enhance the quality of education and the opportunities for learning afforded to P-20 students in America. What we envisage may not be the most straightforward or the most conventional ideas. We call for a relatively radical and certainly quite comprehensive reorganization of America’s P-20 system.

That reorganization, though, and the underlying effort, will have much to do with reviving the American education system, and reviving a national love of learning.  The Edvocate plans to be one of key architects of this revival, as it continues to advocate for education reform, equity, and innovation.
